Sexual Assault Prevention Tips Guaranteed to Work!

1. Don’t put drugs in people’s drinks in order to control their behavior.

2. When you see someone walking by themselves, leave them alone!

3. If you pull over to help someone with car problems, remember not to assault them!

4. NEVER open…

I agree with all of this so much.  Women (or men, for that matter) shouldn’t have to go to such lengths to prevent themselves from being assaulted.  Sadly, though, they do.  I’m sick of reading ignorant comments such as “she was drunk” or “she was walking alone at night”.  Are women supposed to just never drink and stay indoors all their lives?!

I love this list for putting the responsibility back where it belongs.  The implication that by following certain precautions (stay sober! dress modestly! walk in groups!) anyone can absolutely ensure their safety from sexual assault is pernicious and completely false.
